Hotel Renovo Des Moines Urbandale Tapestry by Hilton

We loved our quick stay here! Pool was huge for our baseball team and parents to play in plus other guests. Towels were always stocked fresh. It was great!

Friendly staff, decent breakfast options. The pillows aren't great for me but it might be personal preference. The pool is nice and it's close to a good restaurant. Also has a 24 hour mini convenience shop.

Overall decent stay here. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Didnt get time to check out the amenities. I unfortunately left my jewelry in the bathroom and the cleaners did not turn it in to the front desk, nor did their division call me back after leaving a message,so that was very disappointing. Rates were a little high if booking directly through them.

We stayed there one night in a Junior suite that looks out into the pool. The room was very nice, spacious and clean. It was kind of odd not having an exterior window but since we were only there 1 night, it was fine. The kids loved the easy access from our room to the pool! I was positively surprised by the pool, very large, lots of seating and a good size hot tub. It was clean and staff came to restock towels. The tile floor was also beautiful. There’s adult only swim from 10pm-11pm and staff did come right at 10pm to politely ask kids to leave. The hotel serves a great breakfast, nothing too fancy but definitely a step up from your standard included hotel breakfast. A big compliment to the staff in the breakfast room who greeted everyone, and were busy restocking everything and keeping things clean.

I was really impressed by this hotel - new, trendy, and competitively priced against some other large chains in the area. I arrived late and left early, so I didn’t have time to try out all the amenities. However, dinner at the Bar & Bistro was delicious after a long day of travel. Unfortunately, a few items were red flags for guest safety. The side exterior entry door by my room was unlocked the entire time, allowing anyone to enter the hotel without a key. My personal room had a conjoining door to the next room. When I first entered, I noticed it was unlocked - which meant whoever was in that conjoined room had access to my room the entire time. As a solo female traveler, this is incredibly concerning. The standard at cleaning should be to lock them. Lastly, each bathroom towel had stains on them. I would give this hotel another chance if I was in the area, but some points for concern.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Renovo, which is a tapestry collection hotel in Des Moines, Iowa for a work trip. I spent a week there in one of their three loft suites, which is a living room/kitchenette/ half bath downstairs and a loft king bed and bath upstairs. I got an amazing rate on the room as I booked it about 8 months in advance of the trip. My first reaction arriving at the hotel was that it was nicely appointed and very clean. My room was gorgeous and had so much space. It felt like coming home to my own little apartment every night. The bed is probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. It was like a cloud! The room service was quality and good prices. But more than the amenities, the staff is AMAZING. Huge shoutout to Josh at the bar and Sabrina at the front desk. After a day or two we were on a first name basis and every time they saw me they went out of their way to greet me by name and they asked me about my day. The manager, Luke, is also unbelievably kind and it shows that he cares about his staff. They remembered the little details. And that is true hospitality. If you’re ever in Des Moines, I HIGHLY recommend the Hotel Renovo.

I've stayed many times, and I think it's my favorite Hilton in the city. I keep coming back for the full breakfast, the quiet atmosphere, and the comfy rooms. I also appreciate the staff (Kristin is great).

Excellent stay! Rooms are nice. Bathroom was fabulous. Lobby is beautiful and comfortable. An actual good breakfast included. So far above the norm. Oh and staff were all friendly and efficient. Definitely a "would stay again" place.
